ABOUT PINECREST
Pinecrest Country Club stands as one of Western Pennsylvania’s most captivating and challenging golf courses, offering a unique blend of beauty, history, and affordability. With its 5,800-yard layout, the course is a true test of skill and strategy, rewarding players with its strategic design and scenic surroundings at every hole.

The story of Pinecrest dates back to 1926, when the land now known as the back nine was once the private property of the Sam Henderson family. Driven by a deep passion for the game, Mr. Henderson sought to share his love for golf with the community. In April of that year, a meeting at the local YMCA led to the founding of the Brookville Tennis and Golf Club, with Mr. Frank Leathers serving as the club’s first president.

The clubhouse, a beautiful example of timeless elegance, was built in 1927 by local contractor Ray Richards. This historic building, still in use today, has become a beloved icon of the club. Its warm character and charm make it the perfect setting for weddings, parties, reunions, and other special events. The Pro Shop also operates from this space, ensuring members have everything they need for an exceptional golfing experience.

In 1962, following the passing of her husband, Mrs. Henderson generously deeded 75 acres of land in Union Township to Pinecrest, enabling the club to expand with an additional nine holes. This expansion solidified Pinecrest’s legacy as a premier golfing destination.

Today, Pinecrest Country Club is celebrated as one of the finest courses in Jefferson County and the surrounding areas, known for its stunning vistas, challenging layout, and rich history. Whether you are an avid golfer or a newcomer, Pinecrest offers an unforgettable experience where tradition, community, and the love of the game come together.
