Recent -- Nathan's latest list of achievements include:  reaching quarter finals in the 2014 US Amateur; winning the inaugural US Amateur 4-Ball Championship at the Olympic Club, San Francisco with Todd White; and was inducted into the WPGA Hall of Fame, October 14, 2015, and was also named the 2015 Player of the year.  Nathan now has six USGA Championships, plus winning 23 WPGA events during his career, and has been named the WPGA's Player of the year 6 times.

Nathan’s list of significant accomplishments began with his winning of the 1994 Pennsylvania State High School Championship. He then played his collegiate golf at Allegheny College, Meadville, PA, where he earned All-American status all four years. He earned his MBA at Clarion University of PA, and began a career as a Financial Planner while pursuing his career as an amateur golfer. In 2002, his journey of records began by winning the Pennsylvania Amateur and winning the 2003 Mid-Am at the age of 25, youngest ever to win the tournament. This was the first of his record-breaking four wins at the Mid-Am, winning again in 2009, 2010, and 2012. As a result, Nathan played in his fourth Masters!

2009 was a banner year for Nathan. He won the Western Pennsylvania Amateur, which he also won in ‘07/’08/ & '10, and the Pennsylvania Amateur Match Play Tournament along with the Mid Am. He was also a member of two team championships in 2009; the USGA State Team Championship, playing for Pennsylvania, and as a member of the victorious Walker Cup Team. At the 2010 Copa de las Americas he was a member of the winning team representing the USA. Nathan was named the Western Pennsylvania’s Golf Association’s player of the decade (2000-2010). He won the 2011 Sunnehanna, one of the prestigious amateur tournaments on the amateur circuit .

Nathan had the distinction in 2013 of earning his third selection to the US Walker Cup Team. The 2013 Walker Cup was held on Long Island in September. It was Nathan's win on Sunday that sealed the US Team's victory. Future captain? Time will tell. Besides his selection to the 2013 Walker Cup Team, Nathan had several wins on the amateur tour. He won the West Penn Amateur, The Tourney of Champions at Pittsburgh Field Club, the PA State Match Play Tournament at Huntingdon Valley Golf Club, and the Tri-state Open at New Castle Country Club.
